You are familiar with using HTML to design web pages. You have used HTML style-oriented tags and attributes to stylize and design your pages. Cascading Style Sheets, or CSS, is integrated into HTML and forms an important component of successful web design. CSS offers great flexibility and ease in designing web pages without code heavy HTML documents. In this course, you will work with properties and styles related to colors, typography, page layouts, customized cursors, links, and forms available in CSS to build an effective web page.
Course Objectives
Cascading Stylesheets (CSS), a formatting and presentation language for developing web pages, this language allows you to separate what a page looks like from what you want the page to say, dramatically simplifying large-scale website creation.
Using CSS, you can implement different stylesheets for different scenarios, such as mobile phone or print applications.CSS also lets you integrate style effects that were previously unachievable with HTML, such as letter spacing and link color changes.
Other objectives include creating CSS compatible websites, creating global or page specific style sheets. Indicate font choices for headings, paragraphs and other content throughout the Web site. Appoint a background image for the Web page design.
Prerequisites
Cascading Style Sheets is intended for the student who is an experienced developer of web pages and has some experience with HTML. Students should be comfortable creating web pages, writing HTML code, and in using web browsers.
