Overview

If you’re currently unemployed, you may be eligible for government-funded training programs that can help you develop new skills and launch a new career, without affecting your unemployment benefits.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act provides federal funding through state employment departments to retrain workers who have been laid off. This program ensures that displaced workers can access quality training programs to re-enter the workforce in high-demand fields.

Available Training Programs

Government funding is available for high-demand technology fields, including:

  • Computer Repair and Hardware Support
  • Network Administration and Security
  • Web Development and Programming
  • Database Management and Administration

ABCO Technology Partnership

ABCO Technology is an approved training provider listed on both CalJobs and the EDD’s i-train.org website. We offer government-funded training programs in information technology fields.
Important Note: Students must be pre-qualified by their assigned EDD/Career One-Stop center before enrolling in any approved training program.
